Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Description

Our Bay Area office is currently seeking an Entry-Mid Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various aspects of geotechnical engineering projects, ranging from site characterization, soil mechanics, shallow and deep foundations, seepage and stability analyses, earth retention structures, seismic assessment, and soft ground construction. Our projects range from upgrading existing levees in the Delta to heavy industrial foundations, wetlands restoration, municipal infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and sewers, slope stabilization efforts, and construction of commercial and institutional buildings.

Qualifications

Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses and calculations.
Prepare engineering and other technical reports.
Conduct field explorations, sample collection, and geologic mapping.
Participate in construction observation on job sites and document findings.
Perform geotechnical lab testing and communicate results effectively.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
Support marketing activities, including proposal preparation.
Adhere to company quality assurance, health, safety, and loss prevention policies.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

MS or PhD Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
0-8 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
Pursuing Professional Engineering (PE) License.
Proficiency in various geotechnical areas such as soil mechanics, foundations, seismic design, etc.
Field/construction observation experience preferred.
